Time Out says

Take part in this seriously cool (okay freezing cold) record attempt. Ice climbing instructors Mollie Hughes and Calum Mallory will be attempting to climb the height of Mount Everest, 8,848 meters, in 24 hours on Ellis Brigham's indoor ice wall.  To set the record they will have to climb the wall, which is housed in a chilly -10degree refrigerator, 1,106 times. The attempt will begin on Wednesday April 2 at 7.30pm and on Thursday April the public can get involved by completing 20 minute sessions, guided by climbing expert Neil Gresham (£10). However many meters participants manage to cover will count towards Calum and Mollie's total. Following the finish (gather at 7pm to cheer them on for the last leg) expedition leader Jon Gupta will be giving a talk on the effects of high altitude mountaineering and his experience of Everest (£10). There will also be a screening of a film by Mark Leary starring Mollie and Calum and a fundraising auction and raffle. The money raised from the epic attempt will go towards Calum and Mollie's plans to scale Mount Everest via the notorious north-east ridge from Tibet, which would make Mollie the first British female to summit Mount Everest from both sides.
