Sometimes fairy lights and box wine just doesn't cut it. Luckily, there's a great scattering of watering holes throughout the city where tastier tipples are on offer. And even better? Come October, we're treated to London Cocktail Week, where all of our distilled dreams start coming true.

This time around, London Essence has combined its love for premium drinks with an immersive, multi-sensory show, so you can experience London Cocktail Week in a whole new light. Besides, as purveyors of fine mixers, London Essence really know how to spice up a spirit.

As you become totally absorbed in the colours, scents, sights and sounds of The Light House, sip on inventive cocktails guaranteed to dance on your palate. Savour six days of deliciously unique drink menus all developed by expert bartenders, including Erik Lorincz, previously at The Savoy’s American Bar and Master Mixologist at The Connaught, Italian Ago Perrone. And don't forget The Light House’s crowning glory – a one-of-kind prismatic sculpture, that throws shards of light around the room when hit with moving projections.

You'll also get to enjoy a programme of ‘Light Talks’, too (for only £10 each) – with the likes of botanist and broadcaster, James Wong and Seedlip founder, Ben Branson. Created in collaboration with Healthy Hospo (a not-for-profit, mental and physical health organisation) the talks explore lighter living – from mindfulness to using light to improve nutritional values in ingredients.

Plus, any drinks you sip on here are completely guilt-free. Why? Well, not only are they low-cal (all lower than 150 calories, in fact), but tickets only cost £12. You can buy them right here.

Life is sweet (and sour and strong). We'll see you there!
