The first film to get the Edible Cinema treatment, as it moves from the Electric Cinema to the BAFTA headquarters in Piccadilly, is Baz Luhrmann's 'Romeo + Juliet'. The rollercoaster ride of Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes's star-cross'd lovers is given an extra sensory dimension with a series of food and cocktail packages that the audience opens at key points in the film, signalled by an usher in front of the screen. Prepare to tuck into a tongue sandwich as the teens lock lips, and dare to sip a vial of 'poison' in the suicide scene. Bombay Sapphire is the featured drink and viewers will receive either a Montagu or Capulet cocktail on arrival to enhance the warring families element of the Shakespearean tale.
