As part of the London Design Festival 2012, CAA goes back in time to create a modernist haven of applied arts. In an exhibition that reinterprets the gallery as a collector's home, key modernist pieces of furniture drawn from the Rocket Gallery collection will act as a backdrop to contemporary pieces by CAA makers, forming a link between the tenets underpinning modernist design and the concerns of modern-day craftspeople. On Oct 3, curator Brian Kennedy gives a free talk on the need to be surrounded by well-designed objects, and whether we've lost sight of this in 21st-century living.
