Those who can't get on the tube without applying sanitising gel might find this seriously hands-on event rather challenging. Guests will tuck into a themed three-course feast at communal tables with not a fork, knife, spoon or even chopstick in sight. The messy menu is designed especially to coat diners with food as thoroughly as possible, so grab a bib if you must but be prepared to get grubby. The first edition (Aug 6) will be a treat for lovers of American BBQ, with fried green tomatoes, smoked ribs, chicken wings and corn on the cob all among the dishes piled high and ready to be attacked. Tickets include a bourbon cocktail, bottle of craft beer and a pickleback to wash it all down with. Book in advance.
