It's 75 years since HMT Empire Windrush docked in the UK, and to mark the anniversary, the vibrancy of Caribbean culture is coming to Fellowship Square. Culture Fest: the Carnival Edition promises a colourful day of music, arts and dance, hosted by the Race Equality Network. The Grade II listed Town Hall makes for a stunning backdrop to a plethora of live performances, including from Uzambezi Arts, the UK-based South African ensemble and the Lucianites Quadrille, plus, Perfect Gents Ent will be soundtracking the festival with Afrobeats, House, and Hip-hop. Food and stalls will also feature, so register for free and embrace the remarkable diversity of this community.
