We all know that Ted Hughes was a great poet, but Simon Garfield – author of popular non-fiction books including 'Just Your Type' – intends to get you while you're in your cups and convince you that he was also one of our last exceptional letter-writers. Garfield will come furnished with his favourite examples from Hughes epistolary archives, and the desire to prove that letter-writing is its own, very particular, creative art.
