The TUC headquarters is set within what is regarded as one of the most important post-war, listed buildings in London one of the most significant 1950s buildings in Britain. Designed by David du R Aberdeen & Partners, the seven-storey building is planned around an internal courtyard and features polished granite and blue tile cladding. The interior is notable for the Memorial Hall, which is lit by glazed hexagonal coffers, which form part of the frame. There are sculptures by Jacob Epstein and Bernard Meadows. The building takes part in the annual Open House London event, which takes place in September.
