Centred around the bandstand in the centre of Clapham Common, this first-ever fete held here promises to include lots of traditional fete-y features, among them a dog show, fishing, cricket and model boat competitions, a plethora of stalls selling cakes, books and the like, and lots of children's activities – including a fire engine to clamber over. More modern times are represented by a BBQ, a dog-microchipping service and British Military Fitness activities. And this being Men's Final day at Wimbledon, there will of course be a screen to watch the action on.
