Time Out says

The design of Foster and Partners’ offices for the Mayor and the London Assembly is intended to express the transparency of the democratic process. Meetings of the Mayor’s Advisory Cabinet and the London Assembly and its Committees, including the monthly Mayor’s Question Time, are open to the public. They are normally held either in the Assembly Chamber on the second floor (which has seating for 250 visitors) or in one of the meeting rooms on the lower ground floor. During the week you can visit the exhibition space on the second floor, from which you can see the Chamber and the ground floor, and you can walk down the spiral ramp to the lower ground floor with its exhibition space, public information desk and cafeteria. On selected weekend dates there are opportunities to visit the areas not normally open during the week, including London’s Living Room on the ninth floor, which has spectacular views, and the Assembly Chamber.
