Brixton Village has a three-week, multi-strand programme of events across November and December, featuring live music, nightlife performances, seasonal markets, and food and drink.
It all kicks off on November 25 with the grand lights switch-on (8pm) and the reveal of eco-florist Stems Wilder’s display of Christmas wreaths.
There are special Christmas markets every Sunday from November 28 (11am-4pm). They will focus on art and design, fashion, and beauty and wellbeing, showcasing work by south London creatives. Brands include homeware store Artisan Stories and Circus, known for its vintage and one-off finds. There will be mulled wine stalls, plus DJs.
Performance-wise, there’s queer cabaret from Ebony and Tito on Saturday November 27 (8pm-10pm), and music from The Grassroots Band, (Thursday November 25, 6pm-11pm, Brixton Village Courtyard), Kadija Kamara (Thursday December 2, 7pm-10pm, The Natural Bar Pop-Up, Granville Arcade Unit 25) and Effie, (Wednesday December 9, 7pm-10pm, The Natural Bar Pop-Up).
Brixton Village is also promising cocktails and food discounts Monday-Wednesday.
