Chinese New Year at Museum of London Docklands

China Town hasn’t always been located in Soho, this vibrant community once made its home close to the docks, which is where you’ll find a tonne of free activities celebrating this heritage. At the Museum of London Docklands you can take part in taekwondo taster sessions, get wrapped up in a ribbon dancing class, try your hand at calligraphy and watch an authentic lion dance – traditionally performed in ancient China to rid us of the worries of the last year, while welcoming in the happiness of the next one. A ritual we could all do with partaking in.
