Can’t afford those pricy Flower Show tickets? Get your green fix at ‘The Chelsea Fringe’ festival, which puts on eight days of weird, wonderful and wholesome spin-off botanical events in SW3 and beyond. Largely volunteer-run and free, you’ll find an eclectic programme of horticultural happenings in a load of hidden green spaces, from talks on herbs in the secret Tate Modern Community Garden, a nature poetry walk in King Henrys Walk Garden and botanical tile making in Spitalfields to a music garden party in the Olden Community Garden and a wildflower seed bomb workshop in Camley Street Nature Park.
Find a full programme of events on the Chelsea Fringe website.
