Celebrating Bowie at 70

Celebrate David Bowie’s contribution to ‘sound and vison’ on what would have been his 70th birthday in a day filled with music, performance and discussions, all hailing Brixton’s very own superstar. Throughout the day, choir master Sam Coates will coach attendees in ‘Heroes’ and ‘Life on Mars’, culminating in an informal performance, and a range of speakers - experts on Bowie’s life, music and performance - will give informal talks. The celebrations will end with a screening of the film ‘David Bowie Is Happening Now’.
