Why wait for the NFL London Games to get going in October when you can kick-off at the same time as The States? In a UK first, the National Football League is bringing the beautfiul game to the streets of central London on the opening weekend of the season. On September 8, Piccadilly will be closed to traffic from noon to 6pm for a free all-day festival celebrating food, family and football, where revellers can watch US NFL games, pick-up NFL merchandise and meet NFL stars.

As well as performances by NFL cheerleaders and mascots, there will be a mini NFL field, interactive games and a variety of American grub. BBC pundits Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell and Sky Sports’ Neil Reynolds will be analysing the last Super Bowl before the on-stage entertainment concludes with an exclusive inner circle performance by The Vamps. The NFL UK Live Theatre at 193 Piccadilly will feature new NFL Films footage, Q & As with NFL legends Matt Forte and Paul Posluszny, autograph sessions and a recording of the ‘Around The NFL’ podcast
