Descend by temporary staircase into the chamber where Brunel was buried alive and cheated death, to hear the extraordinary story of how it happened. This huge drum has been closed for 145 years and reopened for this event, for which note that access is severely restricted; visitors with any concerns should contact the museum in advance.
