Bury your Friday the thirteenth superstitions and prepare to embrace ancient Egyptian rituals, curses and culture at this evening of talks, workshops and performance to accompany the British Museum's new exhibition 'Ancient Lives: New Discoveries'. Bryony Dixon, curator of silent film at the BFI National Archive, will talk about the representation of mummies in early film, there are amulet-making sessions for those keen to ensure a peaceful afterlife and the Egyptian photobooth will preserve your memories of the evening forever. There's also a bar to keep spirits lively. The event is free, but booking is essential.
