This Clapton warehouse contains clever gadgets that make sure your homebrew is worthy of even the snobbiest drinker. The ‘Braumeister’ is essentially a programmable tea urn that maintains the precise times and temperatures required in the brewing process so you don’t have to. A beginner’s course at Brew Club is in part learning how to obey the machine, but it’s also a thorough lesson in all the science bits you need to make sure your beer tastes great, no matter how experimental you get. Those who’ve learnt the ropes can then return to use the equipment for £60 per session, which sounds a lot until you realise you’ll take home 20 litres of beer at the end of it. You also won’t get even a drop of beer on your own kitchen floor, which anyone who has brewed at home will confirm is priceless.
If you'd like to check the venue out but don't want to commit to brewing just yet, head down for one of their regular Meet the brewer talks, or pop in to see what's pouring in the tap room.
