Time Out says

An essential part of life but also a provocative subject and part of many a powerful image, blood both unites and divides us. This exhibition of manuscripts, prints, art, film, literature and cultural objects explores blood as a metaphor, a substance and symbol by which people have defined themselves. Using Jewish religion, culture and history as a focus it will feature sections on iconography, propaganda, food, sex and even circumcision. The exhibition has been designed by Tom Piper and Alan Farlie; Piper was behind the sea of poppies which were installed at the Tower of London last year ('Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red'). The exhibition is included in the price of museum admission.
