Beyond Ourselves

Work by six contemporary artists, including sculpture by Chris Dunsheath, work on found book pages by recent graduate Sam Knowles and mixed-media projects by Chooc Ly Tan, exploring the links between art and science. The show takes as its starting point the origins of the Royal Society, an 'invisible college' of natural philosophers who began meeting in the mid-1640s to discuss the new philosophy of promoting knowledge of the natural world through observation and experiment.
