Bees in the Burbs: Urban Bee Keeping Taster Session

St Ermin’s Hotel in Westminster has established a colony of Buckfast bees on its rooftop and wildflower gardens. September is honey month and this year the hotel is offering a series of taster sessions, led by bee guru Camilla Goddard, for small groups of urban beekeepers. The sessions run every Tuesday in September and cover the basics: keeping, handling, safety, feeding and beehaviour. Participants will be rewarded with a pot of St Ermin’s Honey plus either a honey cream tea or a honey-themed cocktail. All bee handling equipment, protective suits – and bees – provided. Over-14s are welcome if accompanied by a participating adult.
