Always one to go all out for Lunar New Year, Bao is marking the Year of the Rabbit BAO by treating Londoners to a series of celebratory Taiwanese feasts. Grab six or more of your mates and bagsy one of the private dining rooms at the King’s Cross and Shoreditch restaurants where you’ll be treated to a feast to bring good fortune featuring everything from classic bao and boiled cull yaw dumplings to Taiwanese fried chicken and scarlet cha shao gammon (set menu for £39 per person).
Or, look out for special rabbit-shaped bao filled with sweet red bean curd, and decorated with a sad-faced bunny wearing sunglasses, which will be available for a limited period over Lunar New Year. There’ll also be available to take away from Bao King’s Cross on January 20.
