Twins Hugo and Ross Turner (www.theturnertwins.co.uk) have a fascinating story. Hugo was paralysed by a diving accident at the age of 17, only slowly and painfully recovering movement after neck reconstruction surgery. He then embarked with his brother on a lifetime of challenging journeys in the world's harshest environments, combining fundraising for Spinal Research by recreating historic expeditions with scientific research. Most recently, the Turners have rowed across the Atlantic Ocean (in 2011) and trekked across Greenland (in 2014), and will soon climb Mount Elbrus in attempt to improve medical knowledge about the effects of altitude. This event at Mr Fogg's bar will begin with a 40-minute talk, followed by a 40-minute Q&A.
