Alternate Realities at The Barbican

We’re often bombarded with stories of how alienating tech can be but we challenge you to come out of this interactive exhibition and not empathise with the stories told. Originally screened at Sheffield Doc/Fest, the four installations include Grenfell Our Home: a combination of animation and hard-hitting interviews, Life in VR, which brings the Pacific Ocean to life via virtual reality, Terminal 3, which uses holograms to explore Muslim identity and Sanctuaries of Silence, which delves into the problem of noise pollution. If you like thoughtfully made beautiful docs, or just can’t wait to get your hands on a VR headset, you’ll enjoy this.
