A display in the V&A+RIBA gallery to mark the 150th anniversary of the death of Prince Albert, exploring his scientific, cultural and architectural legacy, particularly in the South Kensington area. Previously unshown objects from the V&A, RIBA and other institutions chart the development of South Ken and the Exhibition Road cultural quarter from 1851, the date of the Great Exhibition, to the present day. On show are maps, drawings and photographs exploring the design and building of Imperial College, the Royal Geographical Society, the Natural History Museum, the Royal Horticultural Society Gardens, the Royal College of Art, the Royal Albert Hall, the Science Museum, the V&A and the Albert Memorial.
