Time Out says

Celebrate a true British tradition during this week of special menus, themed treats and sweet-toothed events. Splash out on marvellously inventive cook Ms Marmite Lover's eighteenth-century inspired afternoon tea at Dennis Severs' House (£75), celebrate Agatha Christie's 125th birthday at Brown's Hotel (£45), enjoy a music-themed menu at The Ampersand (£26) or even sip and nibble aboard a Routemaster bus as it tours central London (£45). The Ritz has created a new cake especially for the occasion – the Milk Chocolate and Almond Afternoon Tea Cake involves layers of chocolate brownie, milk chocolate mousse, caramelised almonds and a salted caramel glaze. You can try it as part of their famous afternoon tea that's served in the hotel's beautiful Palm Court (£50). Details of these and plenty more can be found on the Afternoon Tea Week website.
