Wander into the University College London compound and you might come face-to-face with the auto-icon of Jeremy Bentham – a statue featuring the philosopher’s actual skeleton and clothes. No really, Jezza requested to have his body preserved and put on display and this talk will explore how our attitudes to death, the dead body and grief have changed since he died 270 years ago.
