Feminism meets fossils on this guided tour of the wonderful Natural History Museum highlighting the, most of the time forgotten, history of women in the field of palaeontology and geology. Hosted by Big Art Herstory project at the Natural History Museum you’ll find out about ladies like Mary Ann Woodhouse Mantell, a competitor for the first discoverer of the first dinosaur, and Marguerite Thomas Williams, the first black female geologist, whose work has been relegated to the footnotes of history. Afterwards, join an afternoon drawing session led by a London Drawing Group tutor where you can sketch the museum's beautiful fossils and specimens. Expect ancient rock formations, ancient hominids, patriarchy-smashing palaeontologists and dinosaurs, of course.
