Love beer and want to See Things You Can’t Unsee? You’re going to want to grab tickets to the Beer Circus that’s coming to town in August.
Lagunitas Brewing Company are leaving the sunny state of California and going on tour, taking their travelling Beer Circus around north America before crossing the Atlantic and pitching up in London.
Arriving in Flat Iron Square on August 18, Lagunitas Beer Circus will see the sweet central London spot transformed into a spectacular circus, complete with a ring master and a marching band, incredible performances, contortionists, aerial displays, acts you can’t unsee and music you can’t unhear. Elvana – that’s Elvis meets Nirvana, for the uninitiated – will be headlining with grungy, rockabilly vibes. There will also be otherworldy games and a costume competition, so you’re going to want to get weird and up your freaky fancy dress game.
Fueling all this wild and wacky fun will be craft beer from Lagunitas, their flagship IPA, as well as some limited releases and one-hit-wonders. Guest breweries and street food trucks will also be in attendance to keep circus-goers going throughout the craziness.
Lagunitas brewed their first batch on a kitchen stove in nineties northern California and have been challenging lovers of fine ale and IPA to get out of their comfort zones ever since. Now they're bringing their trademark irreverence and laid-back creativity to London.
Lagunitas will be transforming Flat Iron Square into an all singing and dancing Circus on Saturday August 18. Tickets to the Lagunitas Beer Circus cost £15 (profits are going to charity Wild At Heart) and get you entry, a welcome beer and a beer token. Just pick between the afternoon or evening session to get your freak on. Costumes are more than encouraged.
