Venus & Adonis

Last year's magnificent Globe to Globe festival was opened by this sprawling, carnival-style interpretation of Shakespeare's great poem from Cape Town's Isango Ensemble. Performed in IsiZulu, IsiXhosa, SeSotho, Setswana, Afrikaans and South African English, it's one of a fistful of Globe to Globe productions making a brief reappearance in the 2013 season.
