The most recent version of this festival of short plays arrives in 2014 with a typically vibrant line up. Theatre Uncut's unique angle is that for the month it runs, anyone can stage one of the plays written for the festival, anywhere in the world, without worrying about rights. Each year, writers are asked to pen new political plays and the playwrights involved include Vivienne Franzmann, Hayley Squires, Inua Ellams and Anders Lustgarten. This year also marks the festival's first tour, stopping off at dates elsewhere in the UK before arriving in London from November 25. The plays are driven by the topic 'knowledge is power, knowledge is change' and after each show there is a Q&A to debate issues posed by the writing. For details on how to stage the plays see www.theatreuncut.com.
