Time Out says

Huge in his day, witty society playwright John van Druten is now largely a forgotten name, with his most enduring contribution to contemporary theatre his play ‘I Am A Camera’, which went on to form the basis for Kander & Ebb’s masterpiece ‘Cabaret’. ‘The Voice of a Turtle’ is a romantic comedy about Sally – a young actress who has sworn off love – and Bill – Sally’s best friend Olive’s jilted boyfriend – as they find themselves stuck together in Sally’s apartment. Still the ninth-longest running Broadway play of all time – and with a film adaptation starring Ronald Reagan – it returns to London for the first time since 1947 in a new production directed by Philip Wilson.
