Time Out says

There's been an odd glut of supernatural new musicals recently: 'Exposure' and 'Death Takes a Holiday' both took a leap into the immortal, with mixed results. 'The Sorrows of Satan' continues the trend by reimaging Faust as a drawing room comedy.

A playwright sells his artistic soul for commercial success, adding bouncy ditties into his serious drama. This story is adapted from a bestselling novel with songs by Luke Bateman ('Mr Popper's Penguins') and a book by Michael Conley. Adam Lenson directs.
