American author Boo Killebrew’s play is made both about and with her father, an emergency surgeon who derails her attempts to tell his story. ‘The Play about My Dad’ explores the intimacies and struggles of father-daughter bonds, and looks at living with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which swept through Killebrew’s hometown. It’s directed by Stella Powell-Jones, who’s second-in-command at Jermyn Street Theatre.
