The Glorious French Revolution (or: Why Sometimes it Takes a Guillotine to Get Anything Done)

Provocative new show asking if sometimes decapitating your oppressors is actually quite a good idea

Time Out says

Acclaimed company YESYESNONO has often seemed like a de facto solo project for writer-director Sam Ward, who usually performs the pieces himself. Bit for the company’s biggest show to date he stays behind the scenes of a cast of five who tackle this wilfully incendiary new drama that looks at whether La Terreur was worth it and dares to provocatively dream about what woud happen if we chopped the heads of our modern day aristocrats.

Joe Boylan, Paul Brendan, Sha Dessi, Jessica Enemokwu and Alice Keedwell star in a show that’s at least somewhat about the French Revolution, with song and dance in it, that we’re jokily assured isn’t anything like Les Mis.
