The Firework-Maker's Daughter

A cannily-timed preview performance of a show based on Philip Pullman's children's novel about a girl named Lila who defies her father's wishes to follow in his footsteps as a (you guessed it) firework-maker. Composer David Bruce, poet and dramatist Glyn Maxwell and director John Fulljames have collaborated on this new adaptation, combining storytelling, music and Indonesian-style puppetry; a national tour is planned for next year.
