The Eighth Wonder of the World

A brand new play will be performed in the atmospheric tunnel shaft that leads to the Brunel Thames tunnel. The Rotherhithe tunnel shaft hosts 'The Eighth Wonder of the World' by Nick Harrison, about Marc Brunel and his son Isambard Kingdom, who are struggling to prepare a party in the tunnel-shaft to prove how well their ambitious project to build a tunnel under the Thames is going. Martin Parr directs the play, which should be an intriguing look at the family and work tensions of two of the most brilliant engineers of the 20th century.
