The Butterfly Lovers

 In time for Chinese New Year, the Blue Elephant theatre stage an adaptation of the Chinese legend 'The Butterfly Lovers' for kids. The story is about the young Zhu, who, as a girl living under the emperor Hu, is forbidden to go to school. In her determination, Zhu dresses as a boy in order to get her education, where she meets Liang and they change China forever. The piece is by James Chamberlain and Jason Yu. Ages 5-8.
