Andrew Lloyd Webber may have hit a slight dead end with his new Profumo musical 'Stephen Ward' but his golden oldies are still doing the rounds with fervour. The 2000 'The Beautiful Game' which he penned along with Ben Elton opens at the Union this April - its first London revival. Set against the backdrop of the troubles in Northern Ireland in the '70s, the piece tells of teenagers John and Del who dream of nothing but girls and football. Lotte Wakeham, associate director of 'Matilda' directs the show, with Ben Kerr as John and Stephen Barry as Del.
