Space 18

This huge space on New Oxford Street will launch in 2019 as ‘London’s first purpose built immersive theatre’, playing host to survival horror show ‘Variant 31’. Featuring seven buildings, 35 floors and covering more than 25,000 square feet, it is, in a word, jolly big. Though central London theatre spaces of this ilk tend to be fairly temporary, there does seem to be the inference that Space 18 may host other immersive theatre shows in the future, though one imagines that the goal will be to keep the large and expensive ‘Variant 31’ running for as long as possible.
