Songs of Olympus

Allan Smith (baritone) and pianist Alice Turner perform a programme based on Ancient Greek myths. Pindar's 'Olympic Odes' (in English translation) are read by poet Paddy Gormley, interspersed with songs by Schubert ('Ganymed'), Wolf's ('Anakreon's Grab'), Debussy, and Goehr's 'Dark Days'.
