Sinners – The English Professor

Acting legend Brian Cox – most recently a Golden Globe winner for his starring role in ‘Succession’ – switches gear for one of his rare forays into direction, at fairly obscure West London fringe theatre the Playground. ‘Sinners’, by Israeli playwright Joshua Sobol, is about the subtitular professor, who is sentenced to death for having an affair with her student – who is given the choice of whether or not to save his own life by joining in her stoning.
