Touring theatre company Shakesapeare in the Squares have been taking decent quality takes on the Bard around London’s leafiest squares every summer for years now. Clearly it’s gone well, because this year the company branches out with a winter tour that will, in fact, not be playing in squares but rather bringing Shakespeare’s bloody supernatural revenge play to a series of London’s most iconic churches. Gavin Molloy and Cathy Walker star as murderous couple the Macbeths in Sioned Jones’s production, which we’re promised will be infused with ‘wicked music and devilishly good tunes’.
