Time Out says

A fringe hit over in LA, Scissorhandz is – as the title suggests – a musical spoof of the beloved Tim Burton film Edward Scissorhands. Information on it seems relatively scant beyond a few glowing blog write ups of the LA run, though however satirical it may be it’s also being positioned as a celebration of queer ousiderdom with a jukebox soundtrack made up of empowerment anthems from the likes of Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Alanis Morissette. A wholesale production of the LA show, it’s written and directed by Bradley Bredeweg, and retains its original lead Jordan Kai Burnett as the titular boy with scissors for hands.
