RCM Opera and the London Handel Festival present one of Handel's best-known operas, providing the great female lead role of the strong and faithful Queen of Lombardy, here shared by Eleanor Dennis and Susanna Hurrell. The two famous arias for the lovers Rodelinda and Bertarido, 'Dove sei?' and 'Ombre, piante', provide just two highlights in one of Handel's most inventive scores. Cast includes Ben Williamson and Christopher Lowrey as Bertarido. Handel expert Laurence Cummings conducts the London Handel Orchestra, led by Adrian Butterfield; the director is David Fielding.
