This cheeky celebration of all things vaginal (and beyond) looks at pleasure, shame and sexual stereotypes through a series of monologues, comedy skits and dance breaks. It's the creation of Bella Heesom, whose previous show 'My World Has Exploded A Little Bit' was a science-tinged exploration of grief. Heesom will be joined on stage by Sara Alexander, who'll take the role of the clitoris in their exploration of the relationship between brain and body.
'Rejoicing At Her Wondrous Vulva The Young Woman Applauded Herself' will premiere at Ovalhouse Theatre alongside a plethora of suitably sex-themed events, including an exhibition on attitudes to female bodies in the bar, and an evening of mini response pieces exploring sexuality and desire.
