A chance to see the 1986 Broadway musical, performed by the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 1910 Rebecca a young Russian immigrant mother arrives in America with her son and is forced to work in a sweatshop to survive. The jazz and ragtime score also incorporated influences from Irish folk, honky-tonk and Greek and middle-eastern music.
