‘War Horse’ scribe Michael Morpurgo’s yarn about a virtuous young First World War private looking back upon his life as he awaits the firing squad has been frequently adapted for the stage, but this is a brand new version put together this summer by Cirencester’s Barn Theatre. Now it transfers to the West End just in time for Remembrance Day – the socially distanced production will have a special performance at 11.01am on November 11.
