Discerning parents will surely already be aware of Chris Haughton’s stylishly drawn picture book about a hungry dog named George who tries to be good and fails spectacularly. Now here comes a stage adaptation from South Gloucestershire arts company Can’t Sit Still for ages three-plus. It’s not a very long story, and it’ll be interesting to see to what extent – if at all – Haughton’s distinctive style is successfully replicated, but it seems like a charming use of your time this half-term.
