This intriguing fringe musical is a collaboration between songwriter Francis ‘Eg’ White - whose many pop co-writes include Adele’s Chasing Pavements – and heavyweight playwright Bryony Lavery. It is, of course, an adaptation of James Leo Herlihy’s classic 1965 novel – famously adapted into a 1969 film starring Dustin Hoffman – about a pair of young hustlers trying to make a living turning tricks and conning clients in ’60s New York. It’s directed by Nick Winston, responsible for the West End bound musical Burlesque.
